We believe in the power of Scripture and the necessity of having it present and visible at all times. This is exactly what our products are designed to do: to take advantage of every opportunity to remind ourselves of our faith and where our strength comes from.

What Does Logos Mean?

Logos is Greek for “word”, that is the principle of divine reason, creative order and Word of God identified with Jesus Christ in John’s Gospel.

Our hope is that by producing Biblically sound everyday items we can help spread God’s Word and the hope of the Gospel to lives everywhere.

How did we get our start?

Our company’s mission can be traced back to a single Bible.

Some time ago, the founder of Logos Trading Post, Joshua, gave a Bible to his friend Bill. Joshua was, and continues to be, a firm believer in the scripture Isaiah 55:11:

“So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”

Joshua had enough faith in this verse that he put it into action, believing that the Word of God would accomplish whatever purpose the Lord had ordained for Bill…

Our Story Continued…

Time went by, and the Bible went unused. Bill soon fell on hard times, and his mental health spiraled to the point of despair; he decided to take his own life.

He prepared to do just that, and among what were to be his final moments, he spotted nearby the Bible that Joshua had given him. In one final grasp at finding hope, Bill opened the Bible to be met with Isaiah 43:2, hand-inscribed by Joshua on the inside cover:

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you.”

This scripture was enough to give Bill the small hope that he so desperately sought. He resolved to live that day. He soon after initiated contact with a local pastor, and is living a fulfilled and happy life to this day – the Word of God did not return void.
